Federated Farmers’ National Board and senior staff are coming to Southland to talk about two issues which are causing huge pain for farmers.
He Waka Eke Noa – Feds has been actively involved in the He Waka Eke Noa “partnership” for on-farm greenhouse gas emissions policy for more than two years. It’s been a painful and intense process.
Now we’ve seen the government released its response to this group’s final report, and it’s not great reading. Feds believes the changes are unacceptable to its members.
Winter Grazing – the bizarre failure of the regulations around winter grazing are causing huge headaches for farmers, particularly in Southland.
Ministers just aren’t listening to us on this.
Come along and hear Federated Farmers National Board and senior staff including CEO Terry Copeland talk about how the association has been dealing with these.
Bring your neighbours – let’s pack the room and make sure Southland’s rural voice is heard!
