We urgently need your feedback on two important issues:

1. He Waka Eke Noa Primary Sector Climate Action Partnership

The Government has released its response to the He Waka Eke Noa Primary Sector Climate Action Partnership proposal on the pricing of agricultural emissions.

You are invited to attend a Federated Farmers meeting to hear more detail on the issues we’ve identified as relevant to farmers, ask questions, and find out how you can make a submission on the Government’s proposals. Farmers feedback raised at these meetings will also inform Federated Farmers submission. More information on our reaction to the Government’s proposal is available here.

2. Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) – Regional Climate Change Targets

There are substantive challenges with recently notified changes to the Regional Policy Statement. In particular, GWRC propose regional climate targets which apply to all gases and are intended to be significantly more challenging than the national targets.
