Federated Farmers joins with the rest of New Zealand, and the world, in mourning the death of our Queen, Elizabeth II.
The Queen was a great supporter of those who work the land, and was a proud farmer and food producer herself. She took a great interest in farming anywhere, including visiting a sheep farm in New Zealand on her first visit here after her Coronation 69 years ago. She also was part owner of a jersey stud in NZ as well.
She loved her horses, her dogs, driving (and repairing) trucks and getting out in the hills for hunting and walking. Many of the things our own members can relate to.
He Waka Eke Noa
