With support from NZ Hops and Gladfield Malt, Lakeman Brewing and NZ Farming have produced the JET FUEL IPA as a celebration of regional New Zealand. All profits from the sale of this limited release craft beer will be donated to Rescue Helicopter Trusts around New Zealand.
James Cooper from Lakeman Brewing says: “We are really excited to be partnering with NZ Farming on the Jet Fuel IPA because their community is also ours — we make craft beer that reflects the heart of New Zealand by valuing first our people, community, and the environment.”
Duncan Humm from NZ Framing says “We’re really excited and proud to be a part of this project with Lakeman Brewing to help support Rescue Helicopter services around the country, most of us would have been connected at some stage to a response by a rescue helicopter whether it be to a family member, friend, neighbour or someone in the local community.”
“You can trust we’ve put plenty of time into extensively sampling beer from the Lakeman Brewery to make sure it’s worthy of supporting a great cause, and the effort the Lakeman Team have put in to create something very special with support from NZ Hops and Gladfield Malt, perfectly sums up the spirit of the NZ Farming community that will come together for a good cause.”
The Jet Fuel IPA will be launched on June 26, 2021 in Queenstown at Smith’s Craft Beer House as part of the New Zealand IPA challenge. It will be on sale at craft beer stockists and via the Lakeman Brewing online shop until stocks run out.
Lakeman Brewing is located on the shores of Lake Taupo. Based on a working beef and sheep farm, owners and brewers James and Elissa Cooper are committed to producing sustainable craft beer that reflects the pristine region around them. They are careful stewards of the land on which they farm and brew, and that’s reflected in their award-winning beer.
NZ Farming is New Zealand’s number one grassroots online rural community. A hub for farmers across the country, the group’s Facebook and Instagram page reflect the very best of New Zealand’s food and fibre sector. Followed by more than 300,000 farming supporters the Instagram and Facebook accounts tell the story of NZ’s primary sector while also being a useful hub for farmers sharing practical information and job openings.
Rescue Helicopter Trusts around New Zealand help to save lives. The highly trained helicopter crews respond to critical situations in remote parts of the country and provide a vital service for regional New Zealand.
Lakeman Brewing encourages supporters to swing by Smith Craft Beer House, located at 53 Shotover Street, Queenstown, to support Smith’s NZ IPA Challenge and vote for the Jet Fuel IPA in the People’s Choice Awards.
